who are we?
Founded in 2016 by Marcel Kolder. Known for a personal approach, great skippers, and flexible packages.
How it started
It all started with a small boat and a Friday night in Leiden. Marcel Kolder sailed through the canals for the first time, and soon friends and acquaintances joined in. What began as a spontaneous idea slowly grew into organized boat tours. In the years that followed, everything was made more professional step by step, with the right permits and inspections. In 2016, Marcel made the choice to focus entirely on sailing. Today, the fleet consists of ten boats, most of which are electric. With a wide range of boat tours and group outings, Rondvaart Leiden has become a household name on the city’s waters.
Our approach
Rondvaart Leiden is known for its personal approach, friendly skippers, and flexible packages. Most of the fleet is now electric, right in the heart of Leiden’s historic center. With 28 kilometers of canals, the city is ideal to experience from the water: passing terraces, shops, and the historic center in a unique way. We offer complete group outings, from drinks to dinners, always combined with a boat trip.
